
Comparative Study on Charging Performance of Electric Vehicle under Different Ambient Temperatures

Comparative Study on Charging Performance of Electric Vehicle under Different Ambient Temperatures
Four kinds of ambient temperature 40℃,25℃,0℃ and -10℃ were selected,under which the test vehicle was charged from 10% SOC to 100% SOC to compare the influence of ambient temperature on the charging performance of the electric vehicle.The experimental results show that the lower the temperature under low-temperature environment,the longer the total charging time is.Under -10℃ environment,the charging time is greater than 0℃.While under 25℃ and 40℃ environment,the total charging time is almost equal and less than -10℃ and 0℃.There is no significant difference for the total charging energy under different environmental temperature conditions.The lower the temperature under low-temperature environment,the lower the average charging rate during the entire charging process.The average charging rate under -10℃ is smaller than 0℃.While under 25℃,the average charging rate is larger than 40℃,and the both of which are significantly larger than 0℃ and-10℃.When SOC is fully charged to 100%,the maximum temperature of the battery under different ambient temperature conditions is almost the same.
