Study on Charging Acceptability of Start-stop Lead-acid Battery for Automobile

Abstract

With the increasingly stringent energy consumption standards of vehicles,in some working conditions,low-voltage batteries need to participate in the load power supply of the vehicle to reduce the energy consumption of the vehicle.In this scenario,the charging acceptance capacity of the battery is particularly important.There are many factors that affect the charging acceptance,including grid alloy,negative electrode additive,formation,charging MAP,use environment,etc.Through the analysis of the mechanism of over-charge acceptance of start-stop batteries and a series of tests,this paper explores the influence of various factors on the charge acceptance ability.The charge acceptance ability of batteries can be improved by improving the positive grid alloy composition,the combination of lignin and humic acid in the negative electrode formula,and the reduction of battery acid density,especially the short-time and high-current charging ability.Thus to meet the requirements of vehicle kinetic energy recovery.
