Effect of Torque Distribution Strategy on Chassis Stability in Distributed Drive Electric Vehicles

Abstract

Distributed-drive electric vehicles realize the change of drive mode through independent control of multiple motors,and its torque distribution strategy directly affects the stability of vehicle handling. Currently,there is a risk of side-slipping out of control under high-speed steering and extreme working conditions,and the traditional centralized drive is difficult to accurately regulate the balance of torque between the wheels. The dynamic optimization of torque distribution,as the control core of chassis active safety,has become the technical key to improve the adaptability to complex road conditions. Therefore,this paper discusses the coupling mechanism between different torque distribution strategies and chassis dynamic response,in order to establish an intelligent distribution model adapted to highly dynamic working conditions,and provide theoretical support for improving the safety boundary of distributed drive vehicles.
